What a wonder, Poppy is the proud mother of 6 pups, born 4th April, the 60th day of her pregnancy.
They are all healthy pups, the smallest pup, a male, weighed 387g, a very respectable weight for a newborn, and the heaviest was a male too, 426g.
We have 3 dogs and 3 bitches, amazing!
So far, for the first 2 nights I have 'slept' on a mattress close to Poppy and the pups, just to make sure that no little one strayed away and got cold, and that they all got enough milk.
The first 24 hours proved a success, all the pups except one had gained weight, which for the first day is above expectations, it is not unusual that they loose a few grams the first day.
