Day number 11 and a relatively lazy Sunday, with the exception of Poppy, who is still working hard to feed these 6 hungry puppies........ I have just worked out that over the last 5 days, Poppy has provided enough milk for the pups to grow a total of 2 kilos between them, that's quite something! Poppy is eating 5 or 6 times her normal amount, and it's immediately recycled into milk, unbelievable how nature works. After a week or so, the pups will start to eat solids, but until then, Poppy is the sole provider.
For the rest, it was business as usual. Poppy takes regular breaks away from the puppies, to enable them to sleep and to give herself time to recover and build her strength for the next feeding session.
