Day 4 - Unbelievable that this is the fourth day - wow, how time whizzes by.
I took this photo early this morning, thought it was gorgeous - Alexander and Electra taking a power nap!
Another day goes by, another 350 grams heavier - Sisi has exceeded the 600 gram mark, and is the leading lady of the litter, beating all the boys hands down! Each pup should gain between 4 and 10 percent of its weight per day, and they are all achieving this, so Poppy is doing a good job.
This afternoon, we concentrated on ensuring that Sisi was a little less in charge, and the others like Helen and Alexander were given more of a chance to get their fair share.
Poppy had a good night, but was extremely hungry this morning - devouring a bowl of creme frais, thick and creamy with some honey plus her normal meat and biscuits at 6.15am! She's eating about every 2 to 3 hours, probably at least 3 or 4 times more than usual, which is understandable with all those hungry mouths to feed.
But she's doing well and taking her rest when she can.
