day 10

Day 10 - into double figures, and Louis and Maxima doubled their birth weight into the bargain. Tut is almost there too.

No eyes open yet. It's lovely to see how the pups react though when Poppy climbs into the crib. All 8 pups who were seemingly flat out in a deep sleep, suddenly come to life, start chatting and squeaking and moving towards her using their tummies and legs, half crawling, half running, desperately wanting to be the first to Poppy's milk. It's like feeding time at the zoo! And this is purely due to their sense of smell, they hear and see nothing at the moment. Nature is a wonderful thing.

Up to around 14 days, the pups sleep for 90% of the time. Poppy feeds them roughly every 3 to 4 hours.

Nice, all these updates about the mini Flatcoats, they look happy and healthy! In the meantime we found two pretty names, one short one long. First one Aster and the second one Delphine Galou, because it sounds good and the lady sings very good in the Mattheus Passion. Choices choices.... Summer greetings from Almere, Stans and Ruud
